Three New Thom Yorke Songs Online

(4th Coming Soon)

Feeling Pulled Apart By Horses/The Hollow Earth As you may hopefully know, Thom Yorke, the crazy-assed-yet-extremely-creative frontman from Radiohead, has been doing work under his own name for a few years now, having released his solo debut “The Eraser” in July, 2006, and having worked with both PJ Harvey and Björk years before that. Well, now, after taking a break to be even more of a badass and release the grammy-nominated “In Rainbows” with Radiohead, Yorke is back on the solo scene and slowly gearing up for another release.
Talk of this started spreading in August after Radiohead released the single “These Are My Twisted Words” on their DEAD AIR SPACE website, after which Yorke admitted in an interview about the release that he’d also been working on some solo work as well. This is particularly interesting, as There have been songs on both the Yorke and Radiohead dropping left and right these days, so a simultaneous release does not seem unlikely, but does go against the usual grain of the band/frontman solo project tradition.

However, there’s no complaints from me on here, as the release of the next two songs from Yorke’s solo project are pretty damned amazing. Titled “Feeling Pulled Apart By Horses” and “The Hollow Earth,” these songs remain clearly true to Yorke’s electronic vibe. You can (no, HAVE TO) check them out below. Interestingly enough, the first track was a part of the Kid A/Amnesiac era of Radiohead, though it was never brought to light recording-wise. Even stranger is the fact that it was formerly called “Reckoner” once upon a time in Mexico, though, naturally, that name got traded in for a song on Radiohead’s “In Rainbows” instead. A video of Yorke playing that song in 2005 at a solo acoustic show can be found below as well.

A WTF?? Moment - The New Moon Soundtrack

So, speaking of Thom Yorke’s excessive releasings as of late, there’s another song of his coming up on the horizon…

…that happens to be nestled in probably one of the most amazing combinations of artists of all time…

…and one of the most terrible film series ever.

The sequel to the extremely popular movie Twilight, titled New Moon, apparently has a music director that’s doing everything he can to still make the series actually good in some way.
But enough of my bitching, here is the absolutely amazing (AND completely original, I might add) soundtrack to New Moon:

1. Death Cab For Cutie – “Meet Me On The Equinox”

2. Band Of Skulls – “Friends”

3. Thom Yorke – “Hearing Damage”

4. Lykke Li – “Possibility”

5. The Killers – “A White Demon Love Song”

6. Anya Marina – “Satellite Heart”

7. Muse – “I Belong To You (New Moon)”

8. Bon Iver and St. Vincent – “Roslyn”

9. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club – “Done All Wrong”

10. Hurricane Bells – “Monsters”

11. Sea Wolf – “The Violet Hour”

12. OK Go – “Shooting The Moon”

13. Grizzly Bear – “Slow Life”

14. Editors – “No Sound But The Wind”

15. Alexandre Desplat – “New Moon (The Meadow)”
