Well, it’s been only about a week that I’ve been running this blog, meant to be in-tandem with my radio show, The FYI on KUTE radio, but now, I’m here to make a much more troublesome post than the few that I have already created here.
Basically, You! Listen! Now! and The FYI are on a break.
Due to certain extenuating circumstances, the KUTE studio has been shut down by the staff at the Ray Olpin Student Union Building. Until further notice.
Nobody wanted this to happen, and, honestly, it looked like we were going to be in the clear once this all went down. Rules were just going to have to be tightened ever so slightly. (All I’m at liberty to say right now is that some bad shit came up with one of the DJ’s. Really, I’m not even clear on all of the details about it, but my guess is that more will come to light later on) But, as is the message this post is spreading, that isn’t really the case anymore.
Right now, this is where things stand:
- I can tell you now that (insert depressed sigh here) there will not be a radio show next week, maybe for a good few.
- Pete Rugh, Sean Halls, and Jake Moore, three of the station higher-ups, are working on a way to resurrect the station and everything else about it.
- They’ll be presenting this plan to the board that governs KUTE next week and we’ll see what happens from there.
- For right now, we just have the computer in the studio on shuffle and that’s really all you’ll be able to get until we figure something out.
- I’ve been told by the management that this is NOT the end of KUTE; that we’re basically on a hiatus for now.
- I’ll be able to tell you more about what’s happening in the next week.
As far as You! Listen! Now! goes, however…
I’m just gonna pack up my things from KUTE and move ‘em over to here instead! So, on the contrary to things slowing down here, you can expect even MORE random, cool stuffs to make their way onto here in the near future!
Trust me, the FYI spirit is still alive here, the party’s just been moved to a different house :)
