Episode 8: Veedeos, Hear (Most of) The New Moon Soundtrack Here

Veedeos: Dead Weather (x2!), Major Lazer

Jack White’s New Addiction: Music Videos

So, we all know that multi-intrumentalist and -band member Jack White is pretty much off his gnarly rocker, but for some reason, every time this is proven by what he does, I’m always taken aback.

And happy about it.

Most recently, the new supergroup he’s a part of, The Dead Weather (in which he sits in on drums instead of his usual axe), had not just one, but TWO videos for their (somewhat odd) song “Cut Like A Buffalo” both directed by White.

This is, however, the only song on the first album from the group (titled Horehound) that is entirely written and sung by White himself (all other tracks were put together by some combination of Alison Mosshart, Dean Fertita, Jack Lawrence, or White again), so it is understandable that he would go all out for this one. Both videos were filmed in his own Third Man Studios, and are admittedly pretty strange, but you can check ‘em out down below:

Major Lazer Does The Monster Mash

Though you may not have heard of Major Lazer in the past, chances are you probably remember them from that party when you were way too drunk to notice anything else besides how good the music sounds. That’s basically where this duo, made up of DJ Diplo and DJ Switch, thrive.

In the video below for their true party-rocker, the group reminds everybody that, yes, Halloween is in fact two weeks away, with a club scene that goes a little bit beyond tripping balls…

Listen to (most of) the New Moon Soundtrack Down Here!

Well well well, you didn’t expect to find this little bag of goodies up here now did you? :)

Due to certain label restrictions, I (regrettably) had to leave out the Muse, Thom Yorke, Killers, and OK Go songs from the absolutely killer soundtrack to the upcoming sequel in the Twilight series, New Moon. However, you can still hear the great contributions from Death Cab For Cutie, Grizzly Bear, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and (!) Bon Iver with St. Vincent, along with others, all listed down below.

Hope you enjoy ‘em :)

Meet Me On The Equinox - Death Cab

Friends - Band of Skulls

Possibility - Lykke Li

Satellite Heart - Anya Marina

Rosyln - Bon Iver, St. Vincent

Done All Wrong - BRMC

Monsters - Hurricane Bells

The Violet Hour - Sea Wolf
