No, nobody slipped LSD in your coffee this morning, that title is real.
So it’s a couple days ago, and I’m opening up my e-mail and sifting through the clump of Facebook notification messages that I have yet to turn off. Just a normal, ol’ day.
After scrolling down, I notice that I’ve got a new one from the Them Crooked Vultures newsletter and I get all jumpy. The last time they sent out one of these, they had a link to a free download of the absolutely badass song “Mind Eraser, No Chaser”, so I was pretty stoked. However, when I opened the message, I was greeted with a picture of one of their trademark vultures with a play button next to it that had the word above it:
FUCK PATIENCE. LET’S DANCE
Christmas came early this year.

I personally find “Nobody Loves Me & Neither Do I”, “Gunman”, “Scumbag Blues”, and “New Fang” to be their absolute strongest songs, but the entire thing is just magical. Not only does it have Josh Homme’s trakemark bluesy, badass sound to it, but the group pulls off these mind-bending time signature changes seamlessly and professionally, still making the record extremely fun to listen to without leaving the listener wondering where the hell the groove went.
These guys are legends as far as their talent goes, it’s so great to hear them all in the same place. Hope you enjoy it as much as I am! :)
